Education? Bah! Who needs that?

Education and infrastructure are the two things that, i believe, will save this country. If we don't invest in our kids, how do we expect them to compete in the future?

The Department of Education (DepEd) has a new program where overcrowded elementary schools' kids will be divided into two sessions. This will further utilize classrooms by extending their hours of operations. Sounds great, doesn't it?

The truth behind the matter is that kids will now be attending school for 4.5 hours a day, instead of the traditional 8 hours our parents attended. The Arroyo administration looks at double-shifting as a solution to our nations congestion problem. She does this to manipulate the figures so she can appear to move our country forward. What a dumb, manipulative bitch!

Mark my words. If we don't fix this problem by heavily investing in our education system, we will become a nation of maids and drivers (....or are we already)? OFWs are our biggest resource. Sure its beneficial because of the remittances, but isn't anyone else the slightest bit embarassed? Can we please stop raising second class citizens? When will we stand on par with the developed world, or really any country not Africa? Personally, I am afraid the answers are no, no and never.

(note: i could write about how we can credit the archaic and backwards thinking of the Catholic Church for our country's obvious population problem, but i'll save that for another time...wait...must express discontent.....damn you Archbishop Lagdameo et al, you and your silly boys clubs need to jump in a volcano! Ok, i feel better now).
